Stone, mastered
over a century.
Custom marble, granite & quartzite — templated, cut and installed by one family for Maryland, Washington DC and Northern Virginia.
Since 1921
The House of Stone
Family-owned. Detail-obsessed. Third-generation craft.
In 1921, our grandfather set his first slab in Maryland and set a standard along with it: stonework done patiently, precisely, and personally. Today, Danny, Yolanda and Richard — the third generation — run the shop the very same way.
We specialize in custom and intricately designed marble and granite work for residential and commercial spaces. No call centers, no subcontracted crews — the family that quotes your project is the family that templates, fabricates and installs it.

Questions
Answers, plainly given.
Do you fabricate and install the stone yourselves?
Yes. We are a family-owned fabricator — every project is templated, cut, finished and installed by our own team, the same way our family has done it since 1921.
Which areas do you serve?
From our Beltsville, Maryland shop we serve homeowners, designers and builders throughout Maryland, Washington DC and Northern Virginia.
How does the process work?
Five steps: select your material at one of our trusted slab suppliers, receive a detailed estimate, we template your space precisely, fabricate the stone in our shop, then install it with care.
Can I choose my exact slab?
Absolutely. We work with a network of the region's finest slab suppliers, and we encourage you to hand-select the exact slab for your project. We'll guide you on movement, veining and layout.
Do you sell remnants?
Yes — we keep an inventory of remnant stone that is ideal for vanities, hearths, thresholds and smaller projects. Visits are by appointment; call 301.595.7400 to arrange one.
How do I get an estimate?
Call 301.595.7400, email office@unitedstatesmarbleandgranite.com, or send your project details through our contact page. Rough dimensions or drawings help us respond quickly.
What will my project cost?
Every project is quoted from your exact dimensions, edge details and the slab you choose — the material itself is the biggest driver, and the range between stones is wide. What we promise: a clear, written, itemized estimate before any work begins, free and without obligation.
What happens after I reach out?
We review your details, then a member of the family — not a call center — calls you to talk through the project. From there we guide your slab selection, template your space, and give you a written estimate and schedule. You'll know exactly where things stand at every step.
